I was searching the archived masseges and noticed that it is advised not to renew the national passport. My question is how the US goverment would know if you have renewed your national passport if you exit USA using RTD?

I don't know how the US government would know if you renewed your national passport. But, if you ever apply for an RTD then you would need to answer if you have renewed your passport.

You would need to asnwer that question yes, otherwise, you lied to the government. Lying to the Federal government is a serious crime.
