Asylee wife is admitted to US.. things to do next

My wife finally arrived to US 2 months ago. Applied for SSN within 10 days and got it few days ago.
So all she has now is I94 with immigration stamp "Employment Authorized" and SSN card.

Should I apply for permanent green card now or it should be processed automatically in such case?

My income is around 90k, but my company medical insurance will not cover her till open enrollment on 1 Jan 2017 because I haven't notified them within 30 days of arrival (i thought SSN should come 1st). So in the mean time I should purchase policy for her via Healthcare gov and pay ridiculous full price bases on my income or here any other options?

Yes that makes sense

And do you know about permanent resident card processing if I should apply for it after she is admitted as an asylee wife? I've already filled bunch of papers prior to arrival such as affidavit of support, they passed medical test before embassy, etc.
