Asylee owning a buisness

I have been informed that only Lawful permanent residents who are in possession of a greencard can form a company for buisness.

We asylees that have been granted asylum, are we considered lawful permanent residents for the purpose of forming a corporation for buisness? If someone can point me to any documentation supporting this then it will be greatly appreciated...

If some one has any experiences or knowledge in this matter, and willing to share in this forum then it will be appreciated ....
 
Any body is free to have a business in the US as long as you are legal.the us govt.makes it more easier to avail visas to alliens who intend to do business if you meet the criteria that is.You know money speaks.

When they say LPR is required, often (not always) the fine print says that asylum status also counts. But you have to read the material very carefully to get that.

Rasylee,

The US governmet, wants more people doing business in this country, and especially small businesses, because all those small businnesses generate millions of employment opportunities.
That's why US goverment created the SBA (Small Business Administration) which helps entrepreneurs to start small businesses , helps in terms of training in different areas as business plan development, accounting, marketing, financing etc.
Also they have loans at really low interest rates (available for asylees).
And the best thing all the consulting is FREE.
Check their website www.sba.gov they have offices nationwide.

I have my own business, and some experience in this type of procedures, so I'll be more than happy to help anyone interested in this forum.

Dont mind to tell the current interest rate? Thanx!
 
Check with SBA

I don't know the current interest rates but check with them.

Obviously, it has to be invested in a small business.

Kid,

I am afraid that you will default on your loans, file for chapter bankruptcy, ruin your credit and destroy your life. Just be prudent. I have seen too many kids make horrible mistakes.

Advice from a very kind person.
