Asylee need some help

Hi everybody, I am new here and I need some answers from all of you. So please help me if anybody have thesame experience. I cam to the US on F1 Visa in 2001 later on I applied for the asylum and I go approve in 2004. I filed I-485 in 2005 up until now I still waiting for my interview.

I had a girld friend who is on F1. She came to the US on June 2005. I got married in 2006 now my wife didn't go to school any more since she married me. My question is As an asylee can I do anything to sponsor my wife?
Can she get any benifit from me?

If I have to wait until I become a USC, will it ok for my wife to Adjust her status since she is out of her status for so long? I am so worried about this.

Please help with this question.

What is the reason for this delay? :eek: did you contact them?

I don't think so, you married her after the asylum approval

Any suggestions to adjust her status? I think you don't have many options to adjust her status specially that she is out of status for long time.

Being out of status for long time will deny her return to USA if she left :(. Just follow up your applications so that you get the citizenship quickly, his is good for your family future.

Do you have kids from her? it might help :rolleyes:.... I guess

Make an infopass appointment "visit them every month" don't let them keep you on wait for 3 years.
If this didn't work, let a lawyer file a Mandamus

If I want to register for a married license will it be a problem since she is out of status? What will help if I have kid with her? I want to have kid but she scare to go to the hospital since she is out of status. She afraid when she deliver the kid there will be a problem since she don't have any document, ssn, and her driver license will expired soon.

Please advise me what to do. I appreciate it. Thank you everybody

Having a child will not help her get any kind of status at this point.

As for getting married, as long as she has a valid ID it shouldn't be a problem. No one is going to check for status at the marriage office.

As for going to the hospital to have a child, I don't know the answer to this. It probably depends on whether you live in a liberal or conservative area of the U.S. No one seems to have a problem here in NYC, but then again, it's NYC.
