Hello all,

I am really confused on two questions, please help.


Q. Affiliation (part 10).
Have you ever been a member of or associated with any organization, association, fund foundation...............

What about the professional associations or religious organization in US. It seem simple but I am in IT field and member of several small to big groups, foundation, etc.


Part 10. D. Good Moral Character
Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained......

What about if you were detained in your COP before coming here (10 years ago) and it is mentioned in the asylum application. Although no charges were filed and no papers were given that shows that there were any charges.

1. You should disclose all associations with any organizations.
2. If it's disclosed in the initial asylum app, it is part of your A-file, no sense in not disclosing it.

I am totally confused and can't make a decision. Somebody suggested me that this question is related to arrests or detentions in US only. However my case was different, I was religiously persecuted in my COP (which is mentioned in my asylum application). Although I was detained 10 years ago in COP but no charges were filed. So in case USCIS asks me for a proof, I will not be able to furnish anything.

Others suggest that I should mention it during interview


Please, please help me. Advice me if I should go to any lawyer and if somebody knows good lawyers in VA or DC metro area.
