Any one who applied for asylum and labor certification please let us share information. This is my case : Applied for asslum in 2000 and was denied by immigration officer, case was forwarded to the immigration court but in 2001 applied for labor certification. In 2002 received labor certification and applied for I-140, my court due date was may, 2002 but my lawyer requested for a postpondment with a labor certificate and a I-140 receipt as evidence, the immigration judge isued an administrative decision and closed my case. My I-140 dragged on as i had to go through appeals but thank God it was approved recently. My lawyer filed I-485 and also applied to re-open the case with the immigration court. Now my question is what is required in court i just want to start preparation as my lawyer told me that in my case a green card can only be granted by the immigration court. I need your help gulus.
