I was asylee won dv2005 and i got approval with catogary dv6 and got stame in wight card with photo, because my pasport expired and i can't renew it. I applied for REEntry permite that already approved and still waiting for the card. My Question is: can i travil back home to see my parent for short trip, based to situation change in the government in my home country is it possible to go there without any risk?.This is the only way to see my mother because her health conditon does'nt allow her to travil to another country.

For immigration purpose,I would say, yes.You can go back home with your Reentry Permit.There is no question about this, since your Green card is not under category AS6.But for your safety, if there is no change in your country and you were really wanted,you can't go even you became a US citizen.Wherever your status(asylee,Permanent Resident,US citizen) you will be arrested once you get there(See chinese-americain,cuban-americain).
