Can a green card holder become a member of political lobbying organization like "Human rights campaign"? Will it affect citizenship eligibility?. Also, I have seen N-400 asking for a written statement as to "why" for any association with any organization. How long should these statements be? Anybody has any experience?

Should be ok as long as the organization doesn't advocate violence or discrimination.

I am a green card holder and set up www.expatsvoice.org a grassroots action group to redress the broken immigration system.

We are petitioning for a compassionate visa on a case by case basis subject to documentary eveidence and protecion for all children from againg out as the cspa is badly written.

I would be interested in a link to the site you refer to, either here or via pm, thanks

You can check out their site www.hrc.org It is about diversity, equality, work place discrimination for gay, lesbian, Bi and transgendered people. Even their immigration help is primarily focused around GLBT people.
