Hello,
I had a question regarding the association/organization question on the n400 form where it asks if I were ever part of any u.s. clubs/organizations in the past.
I have, and one of the groups was "Asian American Journalists Association." You don't have to be Asian U.S. citizens to join; in fact, the group doesn't even ask you your citizenship status/nationality.
But by putting the name of the organization down, I don't want to give off any impression that I somehow wanted to come across as an "Asian American" even though I am not an official "American" yet. Does that make sense? Because in other questions, it asks, "have you ever claimed to be a U.S. citizen" and I didn't.
Or am I thinking too much into this?
In any case, I just wanted to ask this question for all the wise ones out there.
Thanks so much!
