Hi, everyone. The search engines have been no help, so hopefully someone here will be able to shed some light on this matter. I moved from Canada to the US when I was 8 years old (I am now 33) and now that immigration is tightening up, I am worried that I may be deported back to a country where I know nobody because of an assault charge several years ago.
My question is: what do I do if I am deported to Canada? I have no living relatives there and know nobody. Will I just be dropped off at the border and will have to be homeless? Are there any programs or services in Canada that can help me obtain a job, place to live, etc. since I am a Canadian citizen?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
