assigned to an officer

my case has been assinged to an officer on 30th august. do any one has any idia how along it takes before i get a approval notice.

nd 8/99
applied for 3rd ead nd 6/1/01, approved on 4th sept sent to card making dept, issued rfe on my wife ead on 4th sept, not received rfe in mail yet
my current ead expires on 9/26/01,

do you guys think i need to get interim ead or wait for 485 approval notice

It should normally take 2-4 weeks for approval from the date that
your file was assigned to the officer if the information is accurate.
IIO\'s are known to give out wrong information in many cases.
In your case, this may be true as TSC seems to be clearing the
backlog between 08/99 thru 03/00. Expect your approval soon.
