Assigned to an Officer.

Hi All: August 27, 2001

Can some one tell me how long it takes after the case (I-485) has been assigned to an officer. I was told by an IIO this morning that my case has been assigned to an officer on August 21, 2001. My RD=Sept 21, 2000; ND=Oct 19, 2000; FP=Jan\' 2, 2001; Country=Other; and EAC-01-014-xxxx. IIO told me that, it will take 30-60 days more. Any feedback will be appreciated.

My ND is same as yours and my case was also assigned to an officer around the same time. I was told to wait 4 weeks. I think we can expect a decision any time now(provided the IIO has not gone on a vacation for the long week end).

 In my case I called VSC after they received my RFE. IIO Said I will hear the decision in 30 to 40 days. But within a week I got approved. By this week or next week also you might get approved.
