assigned to an officer - need input

Hi Gurus,

Does anyone have knowledge about how long it will take after your case was assinged to an officer?
I contacted senators office. They told me that my file was assinged to an officer on 05/26/04.
But there was no change in last updated date. So i am not sure if that is right. Please share your thoughts experiences.

They will either approve it or request evidence (RFE) in a month or so (could be less) after assigning.
