Hi gurus, I am a GC holder from Sept. 2002, but I am currently assigned to work aboard in China. I can manage to keep my greencard by traveling back every 6 month. But how does this affect my citizenship application? Please help! Thanks.

Thanks JoeF. I have a couple of questions regarding your post.

1. I can file U.S. tax return as resident, but do I pay tax to China or U.S.? I can declare income in both countries, but I don't want to pay tax twice for the same income I have.

2. You mentioned that N-470 can help keep the continuous presence, is there a way to bypass the physically present rule?
