Assembling & Mailing N400 – How to?

- Are N-400 pages supposed to be one-sided or double sided printed?
- Two-hole punching for ACCO fasteners should be on the top of the pages AND close to the upper left corner? Aren’t the holes supposed to be in the middle rather then to the left?
- All papers have to be punched and ACCO fastener placed?
- What kind of envelope? Is there any standard? 9x12 clasp or pull & seal type? White, yellow or tyvek?
- Marking envelope as “Original Submission”
- Photographs in small plastic container?
- Standard USPS or Overnight?

I’m intensively researching the forum, but still need clarifications for the above mentioned. Thank you for inputs.
 
I bought a small blue binder, and index papers.(you know the one comes with small transparent labels which you can print out) I placed necessary documents into assigned folders.

I bought one of those ready post envelopes and sent my documents via express, certified mail. (USPS)

oh, i also attached my photos, and the check onto my application form.

One Sided

I just used a stapler for N400, then a paperclip to attach all rest of documents.

- What kind of envelope? Is there any standard? 9x12 clasp or pull & seal type? White, yellow or tyvek?

Used USPS Priority Envelope, with delivery confirmation. Dont use any extra envelopes.


- Marking envelope as “Original Submission”

Just Print the address and glued it.

- Photographs in small plastic container?

Yes, a Small Ziplock.

- Printed N-400 one-sided
- Printed copies of both sides of GC
- Attached 2 PP photos and sent it in the folder AAA gave it in
- Attached check
- Used a click to hold all these, and sent both my wife's and mine in USPS express mail flat-rate envelope (no additional envelopes).

KISS - Keep it simple - seriously!!

Where does it say? It says bind them and don't use stapler and my guess is everybodiy's application is denied by now including me since I used stapler to attached all the copies.

Don't sleep for two nights or your application will be denied.

LOL! Jokes apart, people can get tense with anything USCIS. :-)

I think somewhere they mention dont use staple, so just use a clip (gem clip or bind clip) should be good instead of staple.
