ASC Appointment Notice

Here is how my ASC notice reads:
"Please appear at the below application support center at the appointed date and time to have your biometrics taken. If you are unable to appear at this time, you may go on any following Wednesday at the same time noted below, as long as you appear before 12/09/2005."

I have an appointment scheduled for 10/25/2005. Does the above qoute mean that I can go on any Wednesday from 10/25/2005 to 12/09/2005? Or does it mean I can go on any Wednesday from now until 12/09/2005? Anyone has an expeience going to the Seattle Support Center before the appointment date?

Thanks :)

From 10/25/2005 to 12/09/2005. If your ASC is not that busy, you can try a walk in anytime, but they could refuse to process you.

Just realized you were talking about Seattle. I went there last Thursday and was refused since there were just too many people.

Could it be that if you walked in on a Wednesday, they would've let you in? How long was the waiting line? Do people wait outside?

To junhuaw.

Hi, junhuaw,

I am in the same boat and am scheduled to take FP3 in Seattle on 10/11 as well.

I am wondering when you went there. Did you go there before 7:30am as some other people suggested?

Were there really too many people or just a policy that we can't take earlier?

Thanks.

I didn't go that early but I did wait for 2 hours. The officer first took my appointment, but after he read what said in the notice he said he can't process my case until everybody else is done, which could mean at the end of the whole day since waiting time had constantly been more than 2 hours. He specifically said they can only process my case any Wednesday after my appointment date, not before. That's what is said on the notice, and I think he got it right this time.
That being said, it might be different if you meet a different officer.

Thanks, junhuaw.

One thing I am little bit puzzled by is that Seattle office is closed on Wednesday and how can they process FP on Wednesday. -:)

fiveice,

you are thinking about the Seattle office near the International District. This is a different center located on Tukwila BLVD.

I did my bio on September 6th @ Seattle. Got there at 8 am like the appointment sheet said but there must be at least 100 people in the waiting room already!! I talked with the lady whose name was called first, she said she was there around 6:30 am!! She said she was there a week before but got sent home because of too many people. There were told to come back again early next week.
I did wait about 2.5 hours for my turn. My suggestion: bring a book to read, bring some breakfast to eat.
Hope this helps!

sea98121,

Our timelines are very similar. Keep us posted as your application moves forward! Are you from a retrogressed country?

It looks situation is quite different. We went for our Biometrics, according to the instruction we reached 5 minutes before the actual timing. Our appnt. was at 8 AM. They allowed us at 7:55 AM to enter into the lobby.
At 8:03 AM they called us for the procedure and around 8:10 we were out of the building after completing all formalities of Biomet., Code 2 including a brief survey based on their work culture. No doubt they did excellent job within the minimal period of time.
Process was very fast and people over there were extremely efficient in handling the crowd.

Hi Mr. Green:
No, I am not from any of the retro. country.

I'm not from a retro country either. Our cases are very similar, so I'm curious to see how our cases will advance! We could be responding to each other for 2, 3 or 5 years from now :D

Good luck!

Mr. Green:
You are right! My attorney said it's a good sign I got called to do bio so fast, but based on the forum, it doesn't really mean anything....

Good luck to you too!!

Hi Junhuaw
Have you tried early FP again? I am also in seattle. Based on your message, I am wondering if it is worthing to try early FP.
