I am a canadian, I met my boy friend at u.s. when visiting last year, then he visited me at canada, we visited each other back and forth, then we decided to get married in the u.s.

Now we apply for the green card, I don't know how to fill in 1-485 about "were you inspected by immigration officer.?" My last entry is last christmas, I visited u.s. and been asked why entered u.s.and how long, I said to visit friend and may stay for a month around. I stayed with my boy friend, after two months we decided to get married. Our marriage is in good faith. So do I need to provide supporting documents the question of "were inspected by immigration officer"?

Also I don't have I-94 form and any visa as a canadian, so can I leave such questions blank? such when and where did you get your visa?

thanks in advance!

Question is tricky sometimes to some people but to my understanding is, If you entered LEGALLY into the US you where inspected (that means you showed your passport, ID to an officer etc). If you just crossed the border illegally you wouldn't be inspected.

thank you wbabt007. so my answer should be "yes", right? Do I need to provide some supporting documents?

Answer is yes if you enter legally into the US. As for supporting evidence I am not sure if they stamped your passport at POE, if they did that is the evidence you need.

You were inspected. As a Canadian who entered as a visitor, you don't need I-94 or a visa number. Submitting a copy of your identifying passport pages is sufficient (even if the passport doesn't have an entry stamp).
