Shoplifting arrest CIMT ? Case dismissed HELP

Hello Everyone,
I was arrested for shoplifting. Was taken to Police station, 'mug' shots' taken, no fingerprints. Then taken to court on the same day where the case was dismissed
* Did not plead guilty OR agree to guilt.
* Case dismissed after 100$ court fees paid. NO Probation or community service.

[[[ I do not want this to be a discussion on the shoplifting incident. The bottom line, both the Prosecutor and Judge agreed that what I did was wrong, but it was a mistake rather then an intention to steal anything ]]]
Questions
1. I was not convicted, so does this constitute a CIMT ?
2. Am planning to visit home in a few months. I am going to fill in 'YES' where it asks ' Have you been arrested' on the DS 156. Has anyone been through a security check in Mumbai, India and how long does that take ?
Any input will be very appreciated.

1- There was "NO CONVICTION", look like the case was droped to local ordinance.
2- You should get "Disposition Certificate' from clerk that shows dismissal.
3- Mention in the applications, as YES
4- In the reason, always mentioned "Case Dismissed"
5- Keep your certificate with you, just in case.
Do not worry, it is life everything comes in the way and mistakes do happen. Remember, county needs revenue and it is earned by the help of shops and shops materialize the "Mistakes" made by shoppers.
A family went for shopping, child took/put a thing in the trolly for which parents were unaware. The big chain of store took advantage of it, the parents were arrested for this (unseen mistake). The court dismissed the case. This incidence did not effect on their GC/Citizenship process.

Thanks assur

Thanks very much. I appreciate your help and good thoughts sir. Do you by chance know how long the security check is taking in Mumbai/Bombay ? I did search for this and the only ones I could find are from 2004. At that time it took about 6 weeks (from the posts)...
I need this so that I can plan accordingly - vacation, tickets etc..
