A friend of mine who is on H1B visa was arrested for drinking in public last month and ended up paying a fine of $50. He was also fingerprinted. No court charges were filed. His lawyer said that this is not considered a crime of moral turpitude. He has an appt at Toronto Consulate next month for a US Visa. His interview is on a Wed. Will he get the visa in couple of days or a week so that he can make plans to come back accordingly?
