Arlington Asylum Office 2022-2024 interviews

Hello, can anyone (if you don’t mind) share your interview experience? Thanks
My experience was great

My appointment was 12:30pm and lasted 2.5 hours
You arrive with your dependents ( wife or children if they are derivatives in your case)

if you have a lawyer/ interpreter they enter with you and you have to show your ID and your interview notice.

Eventually the Asylum officer call you, and they generally are nice, ask about how you feel, and they start reviewing your i589 if there are modifications the officer will do it there in the interview, @ROP was helpful with his experience ( memorize everything as much as you can about you studies/ years/ addresses.

Eventually they are going to ask a bar question ( regular question that everyone has to answer)

The way the interview goes depends the officer they can ask questions with exactly dates, or they can let you explain what happened to you, you have to practice very well with flash cards that wey you don’t forget important events in your declaration, if you don’t remember something is better say I don’t remember or if you don’t know something is better say don’t know that answer something that don’t match with your declaration or evidences, in this point your family is waiting for you outside.

After that the officer explain the way you are going to receive your decision.

You have to be calm, eat something that don’t cause stomach distress, be sure about your declaration. Good luck.
