Are you supposed to sign the Nat. Certificate?

My husband just got his nat. certificate. I made copies of it to send along with my I-130/131 and I was doing my last minute (the 30th times) check and noticed that he didn't sign it. He is supposed to sign on the right side, isn't he??? I was this close to sending my package at FEDEX but I didn't.
Can you confirm that he has to sign it??

Yes of course. The certificate is not valid without the signature. He should remember to sign it exactly the way he signed across the photograph pasted on the certificate. He probably had to write his full name in cursive writing or print it and it may be different from the signature he normally uses when he signs his checks.

If I am not mistaken it is not legally allowed to copy the Natz. Certificate. Were you able to confirm that it is ok to do so for the I-130/131 application? BTW, what is the I-130 application for?

I130 is to sponsor a family member for GC. It specifically asks for proof of naturalization and you shouldn't mail the original so I take that it is allowed.

I signed on my passport with my long signature, which is my full name. it looks cursive, and IO said to do that. Now do I sign the certificate as cursive or exactly as the signature on my photo?

Sign it exactly the way you signed across your photograph even if it is not your regular signature.

Also you are allowed to make black-and-white copies of the certificate for your records or for applying for anything that asks for a proof of naturalization (other than passport where they need the original).
