It still takes 5 years to get permanent residence status according to the line below:

All periods of residence add up toward permanent residence status that needs only 5 consecutive years.

And you gotta live in the first residence for 2 years at least.

Except for countries like India and china.... and a few others.... the world population is reducing..lot of retirement persons.. at last the world has become a complex place... and there is always a need of personel... so, there were be need of more HUMAN beings world wide...
