Are MSC and NBC the same?

What is the difference between MSC and NBC?
My i-485 starts with MSC which I filed on June/2006. Does it mean that my case is in MSC (Missouri Service Center)? OR It is in the NBC (National Benefit Center)?
Also, when I went to the infopass, the officer told me that my i485 case is in the local office in Garden City, NY.
How can I know where my case is?

i think both are same.. i received a notice my case is transferred to NBC but when i received the finger print notice it says MSC
