Are employment-based 485s and non-employment (family) based petitions join the same queue for appro

Hi:

 When the INS says they are processing March 2001 filed cases, are they talking about both categories? Will the family-based 485s taking recourse to the LIFE Act or even other family-based petitions (spouse of citizens) be placed in the same queue as the EB-petitions? Any insight?

Family based 485 will not interfere witht he EB. They both have separate quota.

I guess, what I can\'t figure out is if one\'s PD is current and one files for 485, for VSC does it matter if it is EB or non-EB. If VSC is looking at applications filed in March for whom PDs are current, are they looking at all applications filed in March: EB as well as non-EB?
