AR11 - Address Change

Dear Immi-Guru's ,

I have applied my 485 by giving my friends address ,since
i used to live with him when i started my GC and H1 extension
last year and waiting for my approval..FP is done

Now i moved out to a different place,still i am getting my important mails from him ..so my quesition is

* do i have to file for Address change ?
* does INS will ask why i have not done it before , generally
the rule for change of address is 10 days right ?

Please advice, i do not want to loose just b'coz of this.

i don't see any problems!!

i don't see any problems if you moved out.
but i also don't understand what is the problem giving change of address. if you are in the same county there is not proble.. however if you moved to different county or state then is would be safe to keep ur friends address.
else your case might be transfered.

Question for My485Pending

Does changing county create problems?

I was under San Francisco jurisdiction but moved to Milpitas so that I come under San Jose jurisdiction to safeguard incase of an interview. Hope I have not invited trouble by doing this.
 
i hope not!!

but i have seen some posts where people changed the address to different county and got case transfered.
it may happen it may not happen..... who knows INS.. not even God Himself...

I was staying in LA, CA when I filed 485 last year (02-066). This year I am in Atlanta GA and filed the address change.

I havent got issues so far, may be because they havent taken my papers for processing. Guess I have to wait and see.

But, in theory I should not have any problems, thats what I heard from friends.
 
Changing address

Thanks Guys ,my problem is does giving change of address after
a year will create problems ? since somewhere i read you have
to give in 10 days .
