If you have filed I-485, your A# number should be on your receipt. It also can be found on your AP and EAD. Some times person ends up with more than one A# number, especially if AP has been obtained at a local INS office, in which case INS has to be notified. In any case, I'd say put the one on I-485 receipt because that once essentially govens your status.
