Ar-11

Hello everyone,

I just realized after reading a lot on this board that I need to send in an AR-11 to change my adress.
Here is a question I am having. I called the 1-800 # and they couldn't help me so I am trying this board for help !
On the Form it says Port of Entry. Does that mean it is asking me for the City/Airport I landed on and turned in my visa envelope and recieved my A # and the stamp in the Passport.
Ok .. I am writing this now just to clarify. I flew over here to the US from Europe. I landed in Minneapolis first and that is where I was send to the Immigration Office I think it was and that is where I got fingerprinted, my envelope with the Visa was taken and I got also the Stamp in my Passport that was good for 1 year.
So does this mean this is my Port of Entry ?

Hello,

YES, Minneapolis is your port of entry

Port of Entry is the place where you were inspector by an immigration officer. Based on what you said then Minneapolis would be your port of entry.

As for the AR-11, I moved three times before my citizenship and I did not file the AR-11. I went for my interview, the officer did not say anything about it. I went through without any problem.

I would say though, file it if you can, depending on your DO and officer, you might get some trouble. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Good luck,

Newly

I have similar question about date of entry. Will it be last time when we entered in the United states?
Thanks
UB

See the adress they have now is my Father in Laws and he does still recide there but I don't live there and it is also in another state. When I first came here and since my husband is military and we didn't have a house to stay they needed an adress and that is what I gave them. We got then stationed in KS and I never changed it.

Hello
My advice to you, when ever you move you most change your address and send it to the USCIS with certified mail with return receipt. You are NOT loosing anything but 10 mins and around $4.

But even you have a return receipt, you have no proof what you have sent to USCIS. So it is not any more useful than a plain letter.

Letter to USCIS - change address

Good morning!

Couple questions regarding AR 11
1. I have several cases open: I am holder of L1 and applied for GC - do I need to change address for both cases? Or one form is enough?

2. I would like to send AR 11 and a letter - does anybody has an example of letter about change the address what information I should include?

Thank you!
