AR-11 questions?

- Do we get any notification letter from USCIS after AR-11 for address change is submitted?

- If so, usually how long does it take to get the notification?

- How long does it take to see the LUD change on pending I485 after the AR-11 submission?

- On the AR-11 form, is it suffecient to specify the A# only or do we need to spcify the (I-485)WAC# also?

By the way, my AR-11 was sent about six weeks ago.

Thanks

You should call CIS to update your address on your I-485 applicaiton and any other pending applications.

THE AR11 WILL NOT CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS WITH THE PROCESSING CENTER.

It goes to this obscure place in Kentucky and obscure goverment contractors enter the information on the AR11 computer system. This system is entirely separate from the agency internal system and the address data does not automatically migrate to the internal system (yes this is 2004).
--> no LUD change.

Anytime, there is some official communication to be sent out to you, the officer is supposed to check the 'AR-11 screen' (an interface to this obscure Kentucky computer) for the most recent address. Automatic mailings such as FP notices don't seem to get updated information all the time.

The only number you have to put on it is your A#.

Calling the NCSC apparently changes the address with the processing center, so use belt and suspenders and communicate your address change to CIS by any channel conceivable (fax, phone, mounted courier).

Thanks guys.

Talked to the rep at NSC 1-800#. She asked for receipt#'s, A#s, new address,telephone number(s) & email id.
She also told that I would get a formal notification from CIS within 30days & if not I should call back after 30days.
