AR-11 and changing addresses on pending applications

I just read several threads about moving while applications are pending on this board, and I read that I will need to call USCIS and change my address on all of my applications even after filing AR-11.

However, my lawyer never mentioned about having to call USCIS and changing the address on every application. Did he simply forget to tell me, or is it that lawyers ususally take care of it for their clients? (FYI, my lawyer has submitted every single application for us so far, and he was present during our interview)

This may be included in your fee. Ask your lawyer. If he has not done it, and will not do it for you, then you need to do it yourself. The AR-11 will NOT update the adresses on your pending applications. It only updates the address in your permanent record.

I think you have to call yourself. I doubt your attorney could have done it for you. When we called for our address change they mentioned that if I was an attorney, then my client has to be right next to me and able to come on the phone to talk to the immigration officer while making the address change on the phone.

The AR-11 does not change your address on any of the applications. It just informs the DHS where you are.

Do this:

Call the 1-800 number ASAP.
Make the address change.
They will give you an address change refferal number and in a few days you will get an official confirmation of address change in he mail.

It's really important you do it right away. Don't wait for your attorney!!
