AR-11 Address Change

I am planning to apply for citizenship. I was looking at the requirements.
One of the requirement is that one should have filed AR-11 form to notify INS of every address change since receipt of green card. I changed my address twice, but I never notified INS of the change.

Is this a problem at all? If it is a problem, did any one face this problem and how was it handled?

I would appreciate your responses.

Well, you can file now. Unless they are anal about tracking your AR-11 filing, it should not be an issue. Most people were not even aware of the AR-11 until 9/11 happened. That's when CIS started publicizing it.

you just hope they would not hold that in the future to against someone who did not file the AR11.

They actually have. After 9/11, they arrested a couple of people, for example one guy who had drawn circles on maps. Since they couldn't find anything wrong (the circles indicated swap-meets where the guy was selling stuff), they nailed him for failing to file an AR-11, and nearly deported him. That story made the rounds. There are a couple more cases like that.

that is something... i would make sure i would not draw circles on maps in the future :P
 
Living in canada -AR-11

I am daily commuting from Canada to U.S. Moved to Canada ( P.R) 3 weeks before. I am on H1b and forgot to apply change of address.
My question: Do I need to fill AR-11 too. As I left USA. And how late it is now..

legally,within 10days from the day you move.....

but there are millions of ppl who forget to file for ar11 within 10days...so you are fine...it took me 7 yrs to file for ar11...(as i had no clue about it.)
just do it asap...thts it..nothing to worry about
