I am still far from approval at current speed. Just curious.

Is I-485 approval notice sent to lawyer or self?

And when and how do you lucky guys with approval dump your lawyer?
 
I'm not sure I understand the question. You probably have a signed contract which outlines your mutual responsibilities. If it ends with the approval of your I-485, then that's where it ends.
 
For my laywer, there is no contract at all.

Even in between (1 year later), my lawyer increases his hourly fee by 40%.

So my question is: when can we officially notify the lawyer to stop service me?

And after the approval, is there any other opportunity realted to I-485 we must use the same lawyer?
 
are you using a lawyer for a routine Employment Based I485? If so, some lawyers will handle cases for a flat fee. It includes responding to RFEs. Filling out EAD forms is usually extra. I guess it all depens on your agreement.

After receiving your I485 you should not have any routine issues. In fact, you can switch lawyers while you I485 is pending.

Change of Attorney.

I changed my attorney and filed G-28 also. I wanted to renew EAD now.

1. If I apply for EAD renewal, where the notice will go? to My new attorney or to the old attorney? or to me?

2. How long it takes to update G-28 info in Nebraska SC? Can I update the new attorney details by calling 1-800 number?

EAD also came to me directly. As for the G-28, wait 3 weeks after you filed it. Then call NSC and ask what address they have on file.
