Any onewho has received or not received the EAD for april/may filing of 485 please post.

waiting for EAD
Filed for my wife's EAD in May .. still waiting. My lawyer says we can get the interim EAD after 90 days. Here is what she says :
"Due to mandatory security checks on all filings, interim EAD applications must be submitted by mail and then an appointment notice is sent out in 2-4 weeks for processing of the EAD."
I thought it used to be one day process by just going directly to INS and fill some application. Now, it seems to have changed.

I went and got my iEAD from San Jose last week - I got it on the spot - no need to mail - you got to get into non appt line - get to local INS field office by 3 AM in morning - and take the required documents like copy of prev. i765, I485 - along with originals & passport & a newly filled out I765 form - make sure you crossed 90 days limit - you will get your iEAD same day...atleast I did - just last week at San Jose...

no, you dont need anything other than the 765/485 photo copies & originals & a newly filled 765 application - give ur alien # in this that u received from INS from the filing of 485...take ur passport along...About center, I think your center is SFO, isnt it? they may not allow you to enter at san jose center, since if I am not wrong center is based on current residence...

My AVM still says.."on July xx, we mailed you to appear for FP..blah blah". It's been over a months since I got my FP done(July 12). FP location was Raleigh, North Carolina

same to mine my FP was done on 18june but AVM message still says fp notices were send on blah blah blah. I checked with FBI they had send the fp results back on same day. It seems they do't bother to change AVM some times even after approval also.
