April 2002 Case approved

Just checked online message. My case RD April 4 2002 has been approved on May 14 2004. Status was showing RFE received till 5.00 pm, so must have been updated after that. Also got e-mail from USCIS about approval.
Wife's case still shows 1st FP message (although she did 2nd FP in Jan)
Hopefully she will be approved soon.

Interesting !! Wife's case approved one day after my stamping

Hi All

Just thought I would share this with you. As I said earlier in this thread, my 485 was approved May 14 but not for wife. I got the approval notice on May 18th. My lawyer called the INS after a week for wifes case, but ofcourse they gave a standard reply saying they are still processing Feb 02 and she is Apr 02.

I waited a couple more weeks and finally on June 8th(almost a month after approval) I went for my stamping. While stamping I asked the officer if I could find anything about my wifes case and she ofcourse looked up the website and gave a standard reply. Anyways, I looked up her case status yesterday and it says she was approved June 9th.

Dont know if my stamping triggered anything, or this could just be coincidence, but based on my experience ,I would suggest going for stamping as quickly as possible if one spouse is approved and other is not.

( same thing happened for me on EAD. I got my interim EAD Apr 12th exactly 90 days after filing and my actual EAD was approved Apr 13!!)
