Guys and Gals,
A lot of you may not be aware of this but back in April 2001 there was a huge backlog at the DOS labor department because Bush signed of on a amnesty bill allowing illegal immigrants to file for their labor. The backlog was the worst in the South East and in the West Coast. Most labor apps filed between April 2001 and middle of 2002 were delayed for the longest time (mine was one of them .. surprise surprise
). Anyway, the DOS finally cleared the mess by 2003. I wanted to discuss the effect if any on the PDs for EB3 because of the huge influx in April 2001. I personally feel that most of those cases should have been approved by now and the nightmare scenario of the PD date for EB3s getting stuck in April 2001 (whenever they get there). I do not believe that this will happen but wanted to see if someone else had some more insight into this issue. Most people I know with PDs before April 2001 have already been approved.
regards,
saras
