FP notice for April 03 ND
USCIS has started issuing FP notices again. We are scheduled for FP at Newark on 13th February. It is good news for April 03 NDs and later...our process has resumed! May be another 6 months to a year for PP stamping.

Could some one share the experience of parking and driving to USCIS center.

thanks.

Nice to hear that USCIS has started issuing FP notice for April 03 NDs.....

My question is - Will there be a change in my online status once FP notice is issued ?

Good Luck !!!

on line message

It should theoretically change. USCIS doesn't follow basic procedure. The online message is still showing RD........May be they will update once FP is received....to resumed.

.

This is a good news indeed. I would be somewhat cautious to predict how long it would take to get GC.

I read somewhere that the FP freeze was supposed to last nine months. Although it was for CA service center, that ust have been relevant for other service centers as well.

RD -- 7/28/03
ND -- 8/8/03
AP -- 9/17/03
RFE EAD Issd -- 9/23/03
RFE EAD Rcvd -- 10/14/03
EAD -- 11/6/03
FP -- ??
AD -- ??

This is ofcourse a good news, but not many people around this date ( ND - April 03) have recieved their FP notices.

Once we hear a few people confirming the same it will be great !!!

Good luck.

CadCam user also got it

Another user CadCam has got the finger print notice in CA through VSC who has April03 ND.

I assume that you would have received the FP notice papers. Attorneys do not receive the papers right ?

who receives it?

FP notice was addressed to me. Sometimes attorneys get it. Usually it is the applicant.

Both the applicant and attorney receive FP notices.

rajudm,
I don't want to dampen your spirits. But you must have realistic expectaions- when you might get approved. Currently (by some estimates) about 50% of Oct'01s and about 99% of Oct'02s are still pending.
HTH

According to processing reports, if they continue at this rate his estimate does not sound unrealistic to me. Six months to an year is I think reasonable estimate. In six months I think most of Jan,Feb Mar and APril 2002 would be done.
On another note there was a big fear about Newark not granting any FP notices because of overload. This hopefully should help us relieve on that issue.

estimate

I estimated based on several factors.

1) it should be around 18 months to 24 months from ND
2) The current trend of some overshooting beyond 24 months is due to FP expiry or issues with FBI security clearance or special case.. If all cases are same then why there is a need for application scrutiny.
3) Since FPs were not issued beyond april 2003 NDs...expiration doesn't arise and also gives sufficient time for FBI clearance which eventually speeds up the process.
4) the tracker PDF file shows about 5% processed for months Jan, Feb and March 2003.

If lucky my approval will be in October 2004 and at the extreme April 2005. It could happen anywhere between those months. RUPNET is predicting Feb, 2005 based on last four months data. It all depends on how long the current approval rate is sustained.

Let us hope the VSC targets for 14 to 20 months from ND as the time frame. This would give a ray of hope for 2004 approval.

The data in the tracker is erroneously presenetd in the last page summary- it says complete- that includes- approved/transferred/withdrawn etc etc.

If you look at the monthly data- it tells you exactly how many were actually approved. For Jan'03- 1% Feb'03 0% etc are only Approved.

There ofcourse is not telling of the future trend. Some indviduals are luckier than other and some down right unlucky. Patience is the name of the game.

transferred/withdrawn

Once transferred or withdrawn they are no longer counted towards the pending numbers at the service center. This was the response from the user stblc- the creator of the VSC tracker thread.

In any case we all will be here on this portal following the progress. Let us see what happens to our prediction by end of this year.

rajudm,

sooner the better

You need to apply for ead at the earliest because VSC is taking more than 4 months for approval. Although I don't need it, since my wife needs it for continuity I applied early. Also this would make USCIS to look at the I140 application again soon so that approval comes through. Let me see what happens.
