Approximate Time for I-485 Approval???

Folks,
Going by the current trend, how much time do you think will the I-485 application with August 2003 ND will take?

Another 18 months? 2 yrs??. Going by the changes in current finger print processing, we should probably hope that the processing delays will atleast remain at the current levels (Hopefully, there won't be 2nd and 3rd finger prints..)


Any insights??

You are asking the Million $ question. This and lots of other such forums are full time devoted to find the answer. And the answer is it could take anywhere from 1-5 years maybe more maybe less. There are very complex dependencies- who wins the next election, will Lou Dobbs stop the anti-immigartion tirade etc etc etc.
Just relax and enjoy the ride.

Sorry to give you a answer like that. But if you prefer a more analytical answer:
Currently about approx 33% of Jan'02s have been approved(you can ascertain the actual latest numbers). You are Aug'03- so approx 20 months behind. So in 20 months there is 33% possibility of you getting approved- if the current trend etc continue. So maybe 35%(whatever) possiblity in 24 months or maybe 30%(whatever) possiblity in 28 months.
That is the way I estimate for myself.
