looks like your decision to contact the senator worked, if you don't mind, could you tell us how you did it ? Phone/email/letter ? Did you or your lawyer contact the senators office ? Can you give us a rough format of the letter ? Thanks
 
went to congress.gov to get the senator name and their website address.
Got the phone number of local office and called them. They asked to fax the details along with a copy of I485 Receipt.
Just sent the details with all the dates RD,ND,FD and RFE Dates (if any)
