Folks....

My journey is over finally. All our 3 cases got approved, myself wife and son. Checked online and AVM, both updated. INS received the RFE on Feb 22 and has been calling BCIS every other week and twice through senators office.

This site has been great, thanks to everyone out there for the encouragement during the long wait.....

To all those who wait...your day will come soon. Hang in there...

Congrats... enjoy your freedom..

Don't forget your colleagues out here who are still trapped in INS shackles.. come by this site once in a while..

Do you think contacting the senator's office helped in getting your case approved ? If you don't mind, can you please give some details about how to contact, etc..

Thanks guys, I will enjoy every moment of it....

Regarding your question abouit contacting senator, please visit www.congress.org and input your zip code to view their contact info to submit a request online.

In my case I don't know if senators office has any role in approving my case, however the senator's office helped me to find out the exact status of our cases, which the IIOs might not share with you.

I think every bit of push helps....

I'm still waiting receive my approval notice from Neb.

Good Luck with your cases....

Hi Nairkk, If you don't mind could you please share the communication with the Senators to us. What to ask them ???

Only go to them if you have valid reasons such us waiting over the current processing time frame / wating too long after sending an RFE/ finger print expire etc. Otherwise they might give you a cold shoulder.

As far as I know they won't ask the BCIS to expedite your case, however they might be able tell you why is it pending or their call would help triggering some favourable action from BCIS side if it's of some legitimiate reasons (for BCIS). Otherwise one has to for their turn.

I have no information about your case, so clueless what to ask for. Ask them whatever be the information you wanted to find out. I just read the service centre phone lines will be discontinued from May 12th. All the questions will have go to the BCIS national enquiry 800 number.
