     i just found yesterday that my i-485 was approved as of 5/8. rfe recieved by ins on 4/16.

can someone tell me what is the next step because i don\'t know when i would recieve my approval notice

The next thing is you will get the coutrest copy in the mail and the lawyer will get the original. You can take them , I-94, EAD, APs (if any ) , passport and 2 adit style photos to the address specified in the approval receipt ( generally local INS) and get the passport stamped. Local INS then sends a filled copy of I-89 to VSC and VSC will send you the plastic in 4 to 6 weeks.
