congratulations vaishali.....

Hey just new what does the welcome notice say.

thanks in advance

You worry too much. You have been approved --- relax. You have been told before what welcome letters say and they all pretty much say the same thing. Now just wait for it to arrive - soon!! - and the GC follows shortly.

hey pianoplayer,

sorry to bug u dude. But i have a job ready and it depends on when i get the green card. so i was just making sure. Sorry for being so paranoid.

thanks for the patience and help.

Hey Zombie,

The welcome letter just says the usual stuff about what I need to do when the 2 years is up on my provisional green card (been married less than 2 years)

The guy who interviewed us was also the supervisor and so was a bit scary for me. But, at the end he said "I have approved you, welcome to America" as he shook my hand.

I think I had a really nice interviewer, compared to some of the interview stories I have heard!!!

congrats vaishali,

I received the welcome notice as well.......party time

we'll keep in touch and hopefully will apply for the removal of conditions at the same time.

cheers

For Zombie2006

I need help

I been in the USA for about 26 years illegelly. I been here since the age of 5 years old. i am married to a USC for for 2 months now. and we want to apply for my GC. But the lawyer said i need to file I-130, can someone plz tell me, if they wll send me back to my Country?

thank you

According to another thread on this forum about another USC married to an illegal, it seems that you can apply for I130.

I wouldn't read that thread though, as the people writing in it are getting very very personal and attacks are all over the place. I'd apply using the I130, I485 etc, as done by many others in this forum. Seems the lawyer should really be helping you with those questions, as you already have one, he should know :)

When you say you say "illegal" does that mean you are out of status or does that mean you came to the US illegally (without inspeaction)? If you came to the US illegally then you will not be able to adjust status. However if you do not have status and you marry a USC then your overstay will be forgiven and you willl be able to adjust staus.

Please clarify what you mean by "illegaly"
