I-140 : March 2002 (7 months and after contacting senator's office)
I-485 ND: March 2002

2 fingerprints, 3 EADs and 3 APs later

AD: May-03, 2004

What rfe did you get and what documents did you submit ?

Thank you for all your wishes.

I had already updated Rupnet. I did receive an RFE. It was for an employement letter and some proof of my mothers name (she is deceased).

My company was bought out while I-485 was pending and changed its name - otherwise everything else remained same. The employment letter mentioned this and the standard jargon about present and future employment. For my mothers name I got two affidavits from my father and uncle.

USCIS received the RFE response on April 21. I was rather surprised to get the approval so soon after that - had got used to longer waits.
 
Hi ssb,

if you registered for the INs online tracker did the dates changed for your LIN. For me
date has changed 3 times after ins received the rfe on april 28. But, the status remains
the same i.e "receive rfe ......"
