Our 485 has been FINALLLLLLLY APPROVED.
Here are the details

ND: 03/23/02
RFE: 3/10/04
RFE Received : 3/29/04
Approval DATE: 4/12/04

Exactly 2 weeks after NSC received the RFE. So, they are moving.

Good luck to all those who are waiting.

I checked at 5pm, no approval, checked again at 8pm Saw approved note.

also, i am based in Detroit! Once i get the approval notice, do i just walk into the Local INS or do i have to schedule appointment for stamping? Can i then take the stamped passport and enter Canada>??? Anyone from Detroit, pls share the experience.

It is walk in and Detroit office is not crowded so it wouldn't take long time.
You can go to Canada with the stamped passport I know many friends who traveled there with a stamp

Sam2003 - I'm based in Detroit too and am planning to go for the stamping as soon as I get my approval notice. If there is anything that you could share that might be helpful when I go for stamping, please let us know. Also, how long does it take to get the plastic card after the stamping?
