On 9/11 we received approval emails. Long journey finally came to an end. I was little upset that all colleagues who started with me got their GCs during Jan - May itself, but I was optimistic that everybody will get their day. Our company started GC process for all of us in Mar 2001, and I ended up to be the last one to get approved.
One good thing however is that we did not get any RFEs. I was expecting RFE for my wife, as she was breastfeeding at the time we took medical. Also, I believe fax inquiries will help. This is the third fax inquiry I made, and with each fax inquiry I noticed some LUD changes. I made inquiries on 06/10, 07/15 and finally 09/09.
LUD history:
06/18, 06/19, 06/26, 07/22, 08/03, 08/05, 08/12, 09/10
I am not sure how many among those were due to my inquiries.
I believe that this is the freedom card from not having need to get EADs renewed, APs renewed etc. I am happy with my current job and have no plans of changing the job.
Lastly I suggest people not to think/spend too much about 485 processing. It just makes us upset and helps get nothing. And I wish everyone who is waiting for long to get theirs soon.

I485 ND: 12th March 2002.
