Hi:

My Husband's approval came after the wait of 2.5 yrs. :) Mine was approved 2.5 yrs back and since we filed his just before I got mine, he had to wait so long. :mad: Finally the wait got over on 18Th June when I saaw the online mesg changed to say that the application was approved. He did his 2nd FP on 17th May and onliine mesg changed on 25th May to say they got fingerprints. We got the apporval within a month after that. The approval notice came on June 22rd and we are thinking of going to stamp the passport tomorrow. I will update on that later on.

Can someone tell me whats the good time to go to LA office for stamping ? what room to go to ? I know the notice says some room but last time I was told by my lawyer that there is another room you can go to and not many ppl know it. :p Has anyone gone to LA downtown center to get the passport stamped recently ? I would appreciate any help.

Congratulations! Terrific news! You have to use infopass to get an appointment at LA, it is supposed to be pretty painless and pretty easy.
 

Congratulation. Your situation is exactly same like us. I was approved on Feb 2002. My wife applied on Feb 2002 just before my approval. She got her approval very recently - May 2004.

Yes, in past, the notice used to ask to go to room#1001. My lawyer asked me to go to room#2001. But things have been changed - you don't need to stand in line from early morning anymore. You can set your appointment using InfoPass.
