I\'m verrrrrrrry glad to say that our (me & my wife) 485 got approved on 20th May 2002 and got the courtesy copy yesterday in mail.
Following are the details.
PD-12/00,
EB2-RIR-INDIA
ND-9/22/01 -wac-01-291-xxxxx
AP- 11/01
EAD - 12/01
FP- 11/30 (earlier FP)
ASC- Phoenix
Approval Date - 20/5/2002
No RFE in any stage.
Checked only once with IIO during May I week and found that my case was assigned to an Officer on April 12th. So it took almost little less than 6 weeks.
I was so frustrated (normally I\'m very cool guy) for not getting approved after seeing so many cases being approved with people applied during the same period of time as me and more over the AVM was not updated in some cases. That is the reason I\'ven\'t checked my AVM for the last couple of weeks. Usually I used to check every other Fridays. Anyway yesterday I checked it and it was updated.
What next? Just hangin here till the economy starts picking up.
The whole journey took almost little less than 1 1/2 years and I knew guys, it is tough testing time.
But what I found during this journey was 3 important things, for a normal case (in the sense everything perfect at your end)
a) The company should exists till you get your green card (no spinning off or belly up and closing the shop)
b) They should keep you till that period. No layoffs or firing. Because in my company they laid off almost 40000 people over my present stay here.
c) & finally You should be in that company till you get your approval forgetting about your ego and freedom.
I knew this journey is really tough one. Have patience, never lose temper and pray GOD.
All your cards are on the way. May be today or tomorrow. Just hangin there & you too get your approvals soon.
Finally, last but the least
this forum was really useful to know about what is going on in every centers and I would really like to thank all of you for your valuable suggestions especially PCee, whose contributions cann\'t be described by words.
