After 2 and half years of wait our GC is finally approved. I thank all of you for the valuable information from time to time.

I have question on stamping,

Our approval letter does not say anything about photos. Should I still carry photos with me? I will have to first goto the photo studio for it.

congratulations ! can you post our ND RD and FP dates location .

Yes you need to take two photos in ADIT format with A# written on back with pencil.

EAD Approved and Q on 485 Status

Gentlemen,
I have been watching this forum for a while and it has been a trementous moral boost for the visitors like me.

My wife and myself got our EAD approved yesterday and the BCIS status says, we will be mailed with a new card.

I checked the 485 status and reads the following. Based on your experience, could some one comment on what this exactly means if not very accurate.

"On October 22, 2002, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.
"

Any comments are highly appreciated.

My RD is 09/12/02

GreenWaiter,

Welcome to the club! That message is just part of the INS BS that means, your file has joined the stack of files we already have and it is going to sit there till we are ready for it. Be prepared for a long wait!

Do post regularly!

Details for approval

We just came out of SJC office. We got our passport stamped.

Here are the details,

WAC 02 009 XXXX
RD OCt 01
FP MArch 02
Trasnferred to local office SJC for Interview July 02
Interview Dec 02
Sent enquiry March First week
Visited INS personally Apr first week and filled enquiry form.
Approval Apr 22

We went for stamping today Apr 23rd. Our approval letter did not say anything about photos. We did not have photos for one family member. But we said lets go and take a chance.
Officer just collected passport and returned them with stamp on it. No questions ...nothing. Came out in 2 hrs.
The approval letter even says "if you need to stamp" otherwise card is in process. So i guess its not mandetory to stamp the passport if you have EAD or advance parole ect.

Thanks again for contributing greate valuable information on this forums.

I think its more valuable than talking with lawyers. I have very bad experience with lawyers.

Hope to see more and more approvals in coming days.

KING

You have to find some other worry now :)

I once heard on TV, "Viagra did not eliminate all family problems, they're just shifted to a deeper level "

ND,
I guess same applies to GC approval. With the coming of the approval people sink into more worrisome worries. House, mortgage, loans ... in the mean time it will be time for citizenship application (yeah, you have to show your US passport to folks in native land). It goes on and on ...

Life_on_hold,

i wish we eventually reach some high level of worries like "where to go on vacations" or "what to do with all this money" in this blessed land.
