Approved through DORA in Dallas

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we received the approval notice in the mail this afternoon - not the official welcome letter that most seem to receive, but a skewly cut piece of paper that says "You are a conditional permanent resident as of August 15 2006 and need to remove conditions....etc." and signed by an adjudications officer. It was mailed from the Dallas district office. I guess maybe they use this more informal welcome letter for the DORA program. Anyway, I am absolutely extatic that this is done and can really recommend the DORA program for those in the Dallas area - my approval has come in less than 2 months.

For those who do not know, DORA is the Dallas Office Rapid Adjustment program where you make an appointment on Infopass, file the applications in person and have the interview the same day and then have the biometrics taken at a date scheduled by USCIS. The decision is made once the security checks are done, like all other regular cases. They try to do this whole procedure in 90 days, and it obviously works!

Incidentally, my LUD for pretty much the whole process said 07/03 and still says that. I dont know if online case status is just unreliable especially for DORA applicants, but I think a lot of people have not had updates. I just mention this for any that are concerned about LUD not changing.

Thanks for the advice and wonderful imput from people on this forum. Best of luck to all.

nope, have been married for almost 5 years, right after my husband got his green card :(

Great, so yours will be unconditional, so you wont have to deal with I751 removal of conditions.
