Approved RD 02/25...need some info.....

I am happy and excited. We(me and my wife) received the approval notices in the mail today(09/27/03). Our receipt numbers are EAC-02-138-52XXX. I will update Rupnet soon with my approval info.

Here are my details :
RD: 02/25/2002
ND: 03/20/2002
FP: 07/25/2002
AD: 09/23/2003 :)
No RFE.

I have a question: :confused:
My wife has her maiden name in the passport. However she has her married name in the EAD, Drivers License, SSN, GC approval process etc.

Do we need to change her last name in the passport before we get them stamped?
Can we get it stamped now and change the last name in the passport later?

Please advise.

Congrats.
Not necessary to get stamping, but it is a big process to change after getting GC.
 
It shouldn't be a big deal to change name in passport. If you go to new york, indian embassy, you can get it done in the same day.
 
Manumahi is right. The maiden name in your wife's passport can be easily changed to her married name by visiting your country's consulate. I guess you will need some proof of marriage viz. marriage registration certificate etc.
