I am pleased to inform you that both my kids (derivative cases) have been approved as of 12.00 afternoon. The on-line message was - case cannot be found, but the phone message was - approval notice mailed on Sept 23rd....

Contacted Senator early Sept 03.

Do not know whether the case was taken up straight or by inquiry from senator. More approvals of Jan02 or 2nd FP applicants will make it clear.

Parents (we) were approved in Apr03. Our months of waiting are finally over.
I will be able to answer any further clarifications late tonight. In the mean time good luck to all of you.

First of Congrats to all of you guys. I noticed from your post you were approved in Apr'03 and you had a RD of Jan'02? Also you contacted the Senator???:confused: :confused: :confused:
 
VAshi17 My wifes case is still not approved

its been 2 months already since my case is approved. Can you please tell me which senator you contacted and some details on that. we live in NJ. Her FP is exppired and no second FP notice yet.

Firstly thank you all for your good wishes.

I am still trying to judge whether contacting the senator did the trick or something else. From the stats, the AD was 2 months after the 2nd FP date.

Some answers :

Contacted senator John Edwards from NC.

dfox : When did your wife's FP expire? What is your RD?
First check if your lawyer has received any 2nd FP notice copy.
They sometimes assume you received the same and do not inform you. If not then maybe your wife's case is touched.

For statistics sake.. The on-line message changed today. Yesterday it was case cannot be found, today it is; this case has been approved.........

HI,
We have the same RD, wich is 2/15/02.
My case was transferred to a NY local office 9 months ago.Still no 2nd FP,no interview.I am waiting to be schedule...
It never ends!!!!!!

When did you contact your senator? Did you contact the senator because of the delay with your kids cases? Did you move to NC? If so did you inform the USIS about the address change?

AD 07/31/2003 (Wife not approved yet no second FP)

My wife called BCIS end of August. They said will get bac in 4-6 weeks.

dfox -did you contact your lawyer and find out about your wife's 2nd fp? I still think your wife's case is touched. They are keeping it in suspense for the time being. These cases are easy to approve. Once they get a bamboo up their ass, they will approve all these easy cases to show their bosses they are doing work. Only then we will get a 'flood of approvals'. For this we are waiting patiently from last year.

omGV - contacted the senator because of delay of my kids approvals. But I do not know if this caused their approvals. I will wait to hear from the Senator's office.
