Hi everyone. I had my interview yesterday in Houston Texas. We arrived there at 7:35 am for our interview scheduled for 8:00 am. There were very few people in the waiting room. I was a bit nervous but my husband, thank God, was very calm and composed. A nice looking lady in her early to mid thirties called us in. We followed her to her office. Before we sat down, we took the oath, sat down and immediately asked for my passport and our IDs. I was nervous about that because my husband had not changed his address since we had moved from dallas to houston. Mine had been changed because I had done it online. We had tried to change my husband's online but it wouldnt let us because he had some tickets he needed to take of. So we kept postponing until we finally we remembered when it was too late. Luckily, she didnt care about that. She took out my I-94 card and stamped my visa (previously F1) "cancelled without prejudice". Then she asked me the usual questions, have you been arrested before? etc. Then she asked for documents proving were living together. We gave her our lease document, joint account, telephone bill, insurance. She didnt look at them. She stapled them and put them in our file. She asked me how I met my husband. I said I met him through my brother. She asked my husband whether he had petitioned for someone else before. He said no. She printed out a letter. Explained to me that my case had been approved and that I should expect my card in 5 days. She said if I needed to travel before the 5 days, I should use the letter she gave. She asked us if we had any questions to which we answered no. She said to file to remove the conditions from my greencard 2 years from now and to file for citizenship 3 years from now if I wanted to. You can imagine how happy we were when she escorted us to the door. I slept like a baby last night.
